Adviser feedback

I have been providing advice for over 26 years, and Rae has been my go-to paraplanner for the past 11½ years. I can honestly say I have not seen a better paraplanner in all my time. We consider her part of our team—and an important one at that. We could not be happier with the A-grade service and guidance she provides. The advice documents we receive from Rae require little or no work before presentation. I cannot recommend her work highly enough!

The practical details

Frequently asked
questions.

What is your turnaround time?+

SOAs are generally completed within two weeks. Shorter turnaround times may be accommodated on request, subject to availability and the complexity of the advice.

Will someone else work on my file?+

No. You work directly with me, and I personally prepare your advice document from start to finish. Your work is never passed to a paraplanning team or offshore provider.

What software do you use?+

I am an experienced Xplan user and hold my own standalone licence, including Client Focus, WealthSolver and XTools+ (CALM). My licence does not include Risk Researcher, so you will need to provide any required insurance research.

I can work with your licensee-approved template or create a tailored advice-document template specifically for your practice.

Are there upfront fees or ongoing commitments?+

No. There are no upfront fees, minimum work requirements or ongoing commitments. Before work begins, we sign a Services Agreement and Confidentiality Deed that clearly set out our responsibilities and protect client information—without locking you into a minimum term or volume of work.

You are invoiced for each completed advice document, with any agreed modelling or specialist work itemised separately.

Are amendments included?+

If an amendment is required due to an error on my part, I will correct it promptly at no charge. Time charges apply where amendments arise from information that was incomplete or inaccurate when provided, or from changes to the original instructions or recommended strategy.

Do you have a paraplanning request form?+

No. I prefer not to give you another lengthy form to complete. Most of the information I need should already be contained in your Fact Find, including the client’s current personal and financial position, objectives, risk profile and the agreed scope of advice.

You only need to provide a brief outline of your recommendations, clearly identifying:

  • Whether each account is being retained, partially transferred or fully transferred.
  • Your recommended products and investments.
  • All initial and ongoing fees, including how they are to be paid.
  • Relevant quotes where insurance or annuities are recommended, including alternative comparison quotes.

You do not need to draft the reasons for your advice or the alternative strategies considered—I will prepare this wording from your recommendations and the supporting client information. I do not prepare insurance or annuity quotes.

You may provide Chant West research; however, I will recreate the relevant product and investment comparisons in Xplan WealthSolver so they integrate consistently throughout the SOA.

For personal or business insurance advice, you will need to provide the completed Xplan Risk Researcher reports, as my standalone Xplan licence does not include the Risk Researcher module.

Do you use modelling software other than Xplan?+

No. I work exclusively with Xplan XTools+ (CALM). I prefer to know one system inside out, so I don’t prepare projections using other modelling software.

Do you provide an advice-formulation service?+

No. You remain responsible for formulating and approving the advice; my role is to document it clearly and comprehensively.

As part of my initial review, I will raise any material gaps, inconsistencies or technical matters that may warrant further consideration before drafting begins. Any decision to amend the strategy remains yours to make and instruct.
